CityWhiskers is a cat sitting company based in the South Side of Glasgow, established in July 2009 and run by me, Karen. My aim is to provide the best care and attention to your cat in the comfort of their own home and surroundings in your absence. I treat every cat as if they were my own.

CityWhiskers (I, Karen) has over 30 year’s personal experience caring for and looking after cats. 

CityWhiskers is now in its 16th year providing a professional Cat sitting service, which I thoroughly enjoy, and I am massively proud of.

I hold a Distinction in Advanced Feline Behaviour for Cat Professionals qualification from International Cat Care gained in 2018.

In addition to running my business, I also volunteered with Cats Protection Glasgow Branch for over 15 years. During this time, I took on a variety of roles, from being welfare team leader ensuring all well-being and needs of the cats in care were being met, including vet trips, treatments, their health or behaviour concerns.  I also carried out home visits interviewing potential new adopters and carrying out any behaviour problems from those looking to relinquish their cat or those in care or post care; after they had been successfully adopted.

As a devoted cat lover who has 7 cats of my own (recently adopted my diabetic foster cat Charlie, Nov 25 ). I understand that every cat has their own unique personality, quirks, and boundaries. One of my greatest strengths is reading feline body language and responding to what each cat is communicating. Some need time and space to build trust, while others roll over or head bump for cuddles within seconds. Whatever their temperament, it’s CityWhiskers pleasure to meet their needs 🙂
